Not with Fenders name on it (I do own some striking examples of both bass, and guitars of theirs), but with Presonus' name on it.Our shop uses Google Ads. All emlpoyees intact, and new frontiers and music to be written and performed by us uesers with this product. I look forward to new improvements and innovations with both software, and hardware. Going forward, I wish Presonus all the success they deserve. That's my take, I wasn't one of them, but they're brothers/sisters now. A LOT of those folks are here and deserve the common courtesy of a personal announcement. As we know, a relevant and similar parent company "acquasition" of a competing DAW has left many users needing to trust a company where they've clocked in many hours of work here, more than play. Perhaps someone trying to accelerate the closing was the intent. A cold page on the Presonus site doesn't exactly warm people's hearts, as witnessed here. How a world wide announcement of an acquisition would happen without a closing is beyond anyone. I suspect that will happen once the deal is closed. On topic - I do think loyal users here in this forum, and outside it, would invite a message from some senior Presonus member. Currently times are difficult, parking lots less full (due to the Chinese virus), and most consumer spending is down. Heck, I recall many times where I worked, no one would walk out into the halls right after a large layoff. If I upset you in any way Arnd, I sincerely apologize. I do get the sensitivity of corporate change. No more than a cyber wine and cheese place with many couches. Mileage may vary of course.Īrndkaiser wroteThe „jokes“ and this thread are getting stale. It's likely, there's more "good product" that can come from this. It's probably too bad this couldn't happen as a joint venture and not an acquisition. Note: I know this doesn't impact the DAW user per se' but it might lend some understanding (or appreciation for some) that such products do indeed exist and combining technologies do make great products for others. I remember seeing a few times a Gibson rig, all dolled up in black, with their varied products in it. Expect to see some Fender/Presonus rigs/booths at NAMM and other music conventions showing latest stuff. It's already pretty intact and successful to the masses. ![]() I don't suspect Presonus own line will change much. I'm sure they'll be more product/candy between the two companies. Particularly, if they intend to duke it out with Marshall's CODE series on the technology side. This is no doubt where Presonus can provide support in both the tablet/phone app phase, and effects layout.įender clearly need to compete on a newly devised product line for their amps, which was my point earlier. With the Marshall app (or panel), you can dial in effects quickly. Unlike some other amps that have multi knob function PIA confusion to them. The knobs, all smartly laid out in amp fashion. It doesn't impact the basic guitarists' mindset. Marshall kept it as still an Amp Cab (or head only), which was pretty smart as well. Zero latency and self contained would be the right approach. It sounds sensational, though there's some, but not more than a few millisecond latency via USB. Add to that, blue tooth that you can dial up from a phone app (or front panel). All effects (designed by Softube) are quite good. There's an optional USB connection directly to the computer. Marshall not surprisingly has something close in their CODE amps. Good point Jay, you'd think they'd have to create both a user friendly interface as well as a more prominent oriented version. ![]()
